Beautiful weather made it a great day for a performance by Zingara outside of Java City in Helm. The crowd was entertained by belly dancers Lee Ann Bledsoe and Nadia DeLeon (and some library staffers who joined in the fun!) on Wednesday, March 31st at the noon performance sponsored by Independence Bank.

I love belly dancing. This is my first time to see this event happening. Seeing a woman dancing in the streets. Hope to see more of this rare events in the future. I’m happy to see this blog.

I saw belly dancing in South Texas a few years ago. It was amazing.
The history behind belly dancers is incredible. A person needs to understand a little Arabic to understand the history better.
I have seen some outstanding dancers. Although, it would not take much to out do my belly dancing abilities!

A woman has to stay in good physical condition to belly dance. The stomach muscles are worked very hard during the dances.
