On the evening of October 24, 2008, WKU Libraries celebrated the grand opening of the new exhibit named “A Star in Each Flag: Conflict in Kentucky” in the Kentucky Library & Museum. The event was held in style with premium bourbon and whiskeys provided by Brown Forman along with period food and music from the 1860s. Many guests came in their Civil War period uniforms and costumes. This was a fund-raising event that required an admission fee.
