Faraway Places Presents Israel

WKU Philosophy and Religion Professor Shannon Schaffer gave a lecture on Israel at Barnes & Noble Booksellers at Campbell Lane, Bowling Green, KY on the evening of April 12, 2007. This lecture is part of the Faraway Places international lecture series sponsored by the WKU Libraries. Nearly sixty attendees were present. They include WKU faculty and students as well as Bowling Green community members.

Spring Break fun at the Kentucky Library & Museum

Kentucky Live! Presented Author Kristin Johannsen

On April 6, 2007, Libraries’ Kentucky Live! program presented Kristin Johannsen, author of Ginseng Dreams: The Secret World of America’s Most Valuable Plant at Barnes & Noble Booksellers. She talked about ginseng’s growth in America, particularly in Kentucky, and its trade with China and Asia in history and at present.

“Far Away Places” Presented Ireland
