Doris Retires After 40 Years of Service

Doris Hardcastle with Dean Mike Binder at Her Retirement ReceptionBibliographic Access of the Department of Library Technical Services (DLTS) at WKU gave a retirement reception on December 9, 2008 in the DLTS Break Room in honor of Doris Hardcastle’s 40 years of service to the Department and University Libraries. Dean Mike Binder, Department Head Connie Foster and Bibliographic Access Coordinator Rose Davis gave their laudatory comments on Doris’ loyal and diligent service. At the end of the reception, colleagues presented her with gifts and cards of good wishes.

  1. I am an alumna of the university and was googling Doris when I came across this article. She has been a great help to me especially during my undergraduate years and working on research for my thesis. Her valuable service to the university is indeed remarkable. I hope she is doing well and enjoying herself.

    Working at the same place for 40 years. That kind of loyalty you don’t see often anymore.
