SOKY Reads! fall program featured a showing of Louisa May Alcott: The Woman behind Little Women last night at the Kentucky Museum. The film and discussion, part of a series of events about Alcott’s life and times, offered insight into this fascinating author and activist who inspired the careers of Gertrude Stein and Sandra Day O’Connor. The program continues next Tuesday, Sept. 20th when Dr. Dorothea Browder will discuss the role of women during the Civil War era. This event also takes place at the Kentucky Museum at 6pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about one of America’s best loved authors. This event is free and open to the public.
