Spring break day camp held at the Kentucky Museum got rave reviews from the campers, who enjoyed many art activities from painting on a paper-mache rock ledge to creating 3D collage. Check out snapshots of the camp event!
A community lecture on the Holocaust was given at Barnes & Noble on March 21. The speakers were Ann Klein of Louisville, a survivor of several Holocaust concentration camps, and Robert Wheeler of Scottsville, the seargent of the unit that liberated Buchenwald. On January 18, a traveling version of â€œWestern 100â€ was displayed at the Kentucky History Center in Frankfort as part of the 100th anniversary of the signing of legislation that established normal schools in eastern and western Kentucky.
After thirty years service at WKU, including twenty-five years with University Libraries as Marketing and Special Events Coordinator, Earlene Chelf has retired. Library faculty and staff celebrated her retirement on March 15, 2006.
